Apple-Cheese Bars Crust:
½ cup sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup butter, softened ½ tsp. salt 2 eggs, separated 2 cups floor (can use part oatmeal)
Filling:
4 medium apples, grated ½ cup flour 1 (8 oz.) Pkg. grated cheddar cheese 2/4 cup sugar 1 tsp. Cinnamon
Topping:
Reserved egg whites 1 ½ cup powdered sugar ¼ cup cream cheese, softened
Make a crust combinging sugar, butter, egg yolks, and baking powder, salt and flour. Blend until mixture is crumbly. Press ½ of mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan. Grate apples and cheese, add sugar flour and cinnamon. Mix Well. Spread filling over crust. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over filling. Make topping by beating egg whites until peaks form. Add powdered sugar and cream cheese beating continuously. Spoon over all layers. Back at 350o for 30-35 minutes.
Black Bottom Cherry Cream Bars
1/3 cup butter 1 egg ½ cup sugar ½ - 1 cup maraschino cherries 2 Tbls. Cocoa 2 cups grated coconut ¾ cup flour ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
Mel butter, add cocoa, sugar, flour and egg. Mix well, spread in a greased 9x9inch pan. Place cherries on top chocolate mixture. Combine coconut and condensed milk. Spoon over base. Spread to cover. Bake at 350o for 30 – 35 minutes. Frost warm, cool and cut into squares.
Chocolate Frosting:
Melt together 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces, 1 Tbls. Spoon butter and 1 Tbls. Milk. Stir in ½ cup powdered sugar, beat until smooth.
Bing Bars
Crust:
½ cup butter or margarine 1 cup flour ½ cup brown sugar ½ tsp. baking powder
Filling:
1 ½ cup sugar ½ cup butter or margarine 2/3 cup evaporated milk 12 large marshmallows
Mix crust ingredients and put in 9x13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350o. Mix the filling ingredients in a heave saucepan. Boil 5 minutes. Add 6 oz. cherry chips and ½ tsp. vanilla. Pour this mixture over crust. Frost with 16 oz. melted chocolate chips, ¾ cup peanut butter and 1 ½ cups salted peanuts. (crushed)

Deluxe Fudgy Brownies
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate and ½ cup butter 1 cup sifted flour 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups sugar 1 cup chopped nuts
Melt chocolate and butter together over hot water. Cool slightly. Beat eggs until foamy. Add sugar, beat after each addition. Add chocolate mixture and blend. Stir in flout. Then add vanilla and nuts. Spread in 9x9 inch pan. Back at 325o for 40-45 minutes. Cool in pan. Will have a crunchy top and bottom crust with a center almost like chocolate cream.
Chocolate Caramel Bars
50 caramels 1 pkg. German chocolate cake 2/3 cup evaporated milk 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips 1 stick butter or margarine.
Melt caramels in 1/3 cup of evaporated milk in double boiler or microwave, set aside. Mix together 1/3 cup of evaporated milk, melted butter and cake mix. Pour ½ batter in 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 325o for 6 minutes.
Remove from oven. Put 6 oz. pkg. of chocolate chips over batter and cover with caramel mixture, add rest of batter. Bake 15-20 minutes. Cool 30 minutes before cutting. Nuts may be added with chips and caramel mixture if desired.
Hot Fudge Syrup
6 Tbls cocoa 1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup water 1/4 tsp vanilla 5 Tbls margarine 1/4 tsp vanilla
Combine cocoa, 2Tbls margarine, and water. Cook over low heat until blended. Stir in sugar. Cook over med heat, stirring constantly for 8 minutes or til thickened. Remove from heat. Add remaining margarine and vanilla, stir until smooth. Serve hot over ice cream. Makes 1 cup.
Chocolate Chip Bars
1 cup shortening 1 tsp soda 1/2 cup white sugar 1/8 tsp salt 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup chocolate chips 3 egg yolks 3 egg whites 1 Tbls cold water 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup salted sunflower seeds or cashews or 2 cups flour peanuts
Cream shortening. Add sugars, beat till light and fluffy. Blend in egg yolks. Combine water and vanilla. Add alternately with flour, soda and salt. Spread in greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over batter. Beat 3 egg whites till stiff and add 1 cup brown sugar. Spread over chips. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds, cashews, or peanuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Chocolate Marvel Bars
2 cups sugar 2 tsp vanilla 2/3 cup butter 1 (6oz.) pkg chocolate chips 4 eggs 1 (6oz) pkg butterscotch chips 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 tsp salt 2 cups flour
Cream sugar, butter, and eggs together. Sift and add the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the vanilla and stir in both chips and walnuts. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Frost with a chocolate icing or use the following recipe.
Top the hot bars with 24 marshmallows cut in halves. Bake 3 minutes more. Press marshmallows with a knife to spread evenly. Drizzle chocolate sauce which is made by combining 3Tbls. butter, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 sq chocolate or 3 Tbls. cocoa, 2 Tbls. milk. Boil for 2 minutes or until bubbly. Cool. Cut into bars.
(Sprinkle 1/4 cup walnuts finely chopped over the top before cutting.)
Double Chocolate Crunch Bars
1/2 cup margarine 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 tsp salt 2 eggs 2 cups miniature marshmallows 1 tsp vanilla 1 (6oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips 3/4 cup flour 1 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup chopped nutmeats 1 1/2 Rice Krispies 2 Tbls cocoa
Cream margarine and sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, nuts, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly on top and bake 3 minutes more. Cool.
In small pan combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Stir over low heat until chips melt. Stir in cereal and spread over cooled bars. Refrigerate. Makes 3 - 4 dozen bars.
Cream Cheese filled Brownies
1/2 cup margarine 1 cup sugar 2 oz bitter chocolate 3/4 cup flour 2 eggs 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt
Filling:
1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 8 oz cream cheese
Melt chocolate and margarine. Beat eggs. Add vanilla and sugar, beat again. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and add egg mixture. Add melted chocolate. Cream together filling. Pour thin layer of chocolate mixture into 9 x 9 inch pan. Spread filling over the chocolate batter. Pour remaining batter over that. Bake 40 - 45 minutes at 350 degrees. When cool frost with:
Frosting:
1/2 cup sugar 6 Tbls margarine 3 Tbls milk 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Boil sugar, margarine and milk for 1 minute. Add chips. Beat until thick. Spread over brownies.
Double Dairy Bars
1 cup butter (softened) 1 1/2 cup flour 2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp baking soda 2 eggs 1 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups quick oats
Beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla till well blended. Stir in flour, soda and salt until smooth, stir in oats. Spread on a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan
Filling:
1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened 1 tsp vanilla
Beat milk, cheese and vanilla till smooth and save 1/3 cup of mixture for frosting. Spread over bottom mixture, put nuts on. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until top is lightly browned
Frosting:
2/3 cup chocolate chips 2-3 Tbls milk 1/3 cup of filling
Put chocolate chips and filling in small saucepan. Heat till chocolate chips melt. If it gets too thick, thin with milk. When it is thin drizzle or spread over filling. Cool to room temperature.
Hidden Frosting Bars
1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cups flour 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese 1 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 cups brown sugar 1/4 tsp salt 3 eggs 1/4 tsp soda 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup chopped nuts
Cream together the butter, 1/2 pkg of cream cheese and gradually add 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and soda. Blend in 3/4 cup chopped nuts. Pour half of batter into a 9 x 13 inch greased and lightly floured pan. Cream together the remaining 1/2 pkg cream cheese and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Spread over the batter in pan. Cover with rest of the batter and sprinkle top with remaining 1/4 cup nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 35 minutes. Cut when cool.
Lemon Cheese Bars
1 yellow cake mix 1/3 cup oil 1 egg
Mix together until crumbly (reserve 1 cup of mix). Pat remaining mixture lightly in ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Beat 1 (8oz) pkg of cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, add 1 egg, 1 Tbls lemon juice until light and smooth. Spread over baked layer. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture. Bake 15 minutes longer at 350 degrees. Cool, cut in bars.
Jeans Bars
Bar:
1/2 cup margarine or butter 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup flour
Filling:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup chocolate chips 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 tsp baking powder
Frosting:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup butter, softened
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bar: in small bowl cut margarine into flour and sugar until crumbly. Press in an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Combine filling ingredients. Mix well. Spread over partially baked crust. Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes. Cool completely. Blend all frosting ingredients till creamy. Spread over bars. Makes 36 bars.

Malted Milk Bars
Crust:
1 3/4 cups flour 2/3 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine
Combine and pat firmly in a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Batter:
3 eggs, well beaten 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup chocolate malted milk powder 1/4 cup flour 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup nuts 1 cup coconut
Spread over baked mixture and bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool
Frosting:
3 Tbls chocolate malted milk powder 1 tsp vanilla 2 Tbls hot coffee 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 2 Tbls butter
Beat with mixer until smooth. Spread on bars and cut into small pieces.
Mound Bars
15-20 graham crackers, crushed 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup sugar
Mix and pat into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix 1 can sweetened condensed milk and 2 cups coconut. Put on top of crust and bake 15 minutes more at 350 degrees. Topping: 12oz chocolate chips and 1 tsp peanut butter. Melt and spread over layes. Cool and cut into bars.
Pancake Mix Bars
1/2 cup butter or shortening 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 cup brown sugar 1 1/4 cups buttermilk pancake mix 3 eggs 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter, add sugars, eggs and vanilla. Beat. Mix in pancake flour and chocolate chips and cinnamon. Pour in greased 11 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Cool and frost.
Peanut Butter Bars
1 pkg yellow cake mis 1/2 cup margarine 1 cup peanut butter 2 eggs
Combine cake mix, peanut butter, margarine, and eggs. Stir until dough holds together. Press 2/3 of dough in 9 x 13 inch ungreased pan. Reserve rest of dough.
Filling:
1 cup chocolate chips 2 Tbls margarine 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 pkg coconut pecan frosting mix
In saucepan, combine chips, milk, and margarine. Melt until smooth. Continue stirring for 5 minutes. Stir in frosting mix. Spread filling over dough and crumble reserved dough over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.
Pecan Squares
1 yellow cake mix 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup butter, melted (not margarine) 1 1 /2 cups dark corn syrup 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 3 eggs 2 cups chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Set aside 2/3 cup cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, butter, and egg. Mix well. Line bottom and side of greased 9 x 13 inch pan with mix. Bake for 15-20 minutes or till brown. Mix 2/3 cup cake mix with 3 eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Pour over baked crust. Sprinkle pecans over filling. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or till set. Cut into squares.
